Your life should dictate your home’s function, otherwise style doesn’t matter.

Shannon Cassell Interiors

Our Design Philosophy

We create beautiful spaces that balance comfort and functionality.  Your home can at once be elegant for entertaining and comfortable for intimate family moments. We value each client's personal story and marry that with classic design elements ensuring that every room reflects the richness of those that live there.

Drawing upon her experience within the legal profession, Shannon provides clients with the highest level of service from a project management perspective. We often manage large construction and design budgets with careful consideration and precision.

Our creative process starts with listening.

During the discovery call, we want to learn how you use each room and how you want your home to feel – your goals for the space, your timeline and your budget (if you don’t have one yet, we can help you create one). We welcome including any beloved existing pieces into the new design! We’ll walk you through the design process and answer any questions you may have about how we work.

The next step is to meet in person (or Zoom, as the case may be).  This is either at your home, where we will take all measurements of rooms, capture images of the spaces for design, and take copious notes of our collective ideas, or at our office if the project is a new build.  We review your inspiration images, talk through function and aesthetics, and continue the collaborative dialogue.

We then move to Phase I, or conceptual design. Our goal during this phase is to make sure we are all aligned on the functional aspects of the space, budget and aesthetics. We respect our clients’ time and money, and this phase allows us to work efficiently as we move forward with final design plans. During this phase, we create preliminary plans, budgets and scopes of work, and pull together images that capture the design for the space. We’ll sit down with you to capture all feedback from our Phase I design.

In Phase II, we create a comprehensive design plan that includes final measurements, material selections and the overall feel of the spaces. We’ll get your thoughts and make any tweaks for changes you want considered.

Then we execute to bring it all to life! We are big on communication and keep you in the loop with progress reports and budgeting tools along the way.

See how we did that for this historic Five Points bungalow, as featured in Walter Magazine.
